Licensed Supervisor

I am passionate about coming alongside clients as they seek to find comfort, peace, and healing in the midst of the many difficulties that life can bring. From the moment we meet my goal is to provide you with a place where you feel safe to work through issues at your own pace, while experiencing both comfort and understanding. Since I work with many clients experiencing trauma and cPTSD, consent and safety are of the utmost importance to me. I strive to create an environment where clients can feel seen and heard without experiencing shame.

I use EMDR, NARM, and other trauma-informed interventions to help you gain new coping and emotional regulation skills, which I believe are vital resources to processing and finding relief from traumatic experiences. Working with the mind and body, we will also address core issues which cause distress and disruption in everyday life and relationships.

When I am not counseling, some of my favorite things to do are curling up to read a good book, taking my sweet dog for a walk in the park, and enjoying good food and great conversations with close friends.

About Me

Rachael graduated with her Master of Arts in Counseling in May 2014 and has been working with adult individuals and groups in private practice ever since. She completed Level II NARM therapist training at the NARM Training Institute in April of 2022, and now uses NARM in conjunction with EMDR to treat adults suffering with a wide range of emotional and relational struggles. She specializes in working with clients who have experienced relational and developmental trauma in childhood, resulting in symptoms of cPTSD such as anxiety, depression, panic disorders, attachment disruption, body image issues and low self-worth. She also works with women who have suffered domestic psychological abuse and spiritual abuse/religious trauma.

Alongside her work with individual clients, Rachael also has experience in clinical supervision of counseling students throughout practicum and internship, as well as provisionally licensed therapists working toward completing their licensure requirements. She is passionate about supporting young therapists in growing a new practice, equipping them to better serve their clients and support themselves in the development of their therapeutic identity.

Rachael also offers consultation and workshop opportunities to groups, organizations, and small businesses. For more information, scroll below.

*Rachael sees clients virtually and is licensed in the states of Missouri and Ohio.

Clinical Supervision

It is important when seeking supervision for clinical licensure that you find a supervisor who is able to provide support for you in a myriad of different ways. Clinical therapy outside of an organizational setting can be lonely and isolating at times, and there are many aspects to being a therapist that you do not learn in school. A good supervisor will both support and challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone, ask questions, and seek to discover your own therapeutic identity. You should feel a desire to learn from your supervisor's clinical specialities, but also to explore interests of your own and bring them to supervision.

Clinical Support

  • Weekly meetings for case consultation
  • Monthly review of video or audio sessions
  • Training on clinical interventions and trauma informed care
  • Professional/clinical goal setting and check-ins
  • Resource training and recommendations
  • Optional group supervision to connect with and receive support from peers

Administrative Support

  • Create avenues for marketing and networking
  • Provide feedback and support with client billing issues
  • Career goal setting and check-ins
  • Help with creating paperwork and policy determination

Available Options

Supervision rates are charged monthly and vary depending on the extent of billing or marketing support that you desire. It is a flat fee, meaning that if you are working toward licensure NO PERCENTAGE is taken out of your paycheck for working with Indigo Counseling Services. You will have the opportunity to use electronic billing and documentation services through the practice for a small fee, as well as optional listing on the practice website. If you choose to participate in group supervision (when available), those meetings are discounted from the individual supervision rates and may lower your monthly supervision costs.

If you are looking for supplemental supervision or clinical supervision outside of licensure requirements, I also offer services at an hourly rate of $130 for 60 minutes.
